SAILFISH

  • Sailfish OS is a Linux-based mobile operating system developed by Jolla in operation with the MER project and supported by the Sailfish alliance. Although, it is primary targeted at mobile phones, it is also intended to support other categories of devices.
  • Apps are programmed using SDK, ALPHA
  • To download apps, one must connect to the Sailfish application store.
  • General Sailfish requires MER core, User interface; QMR and QT; Html 5; screen size 4.5 in; 16 GB
  • Sailfish OS Jolla is offering something different. It takes gesture-based navigation to another level and its Android app compatibility will be crucial. The handset will need to be cheaper, come launch.
